Re: Christmas Potlucks!!!!
If anyone is planning a morning get together over the holidays you may want to make up a batch or two of Galley's pancakes http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/pancakes-two and http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/cinnam ... nkey-bread. My morning crowd loved them!
Re: Christmas Potlucks!!!!
Then on to making this delicious bundle for tommorow's gathering - a wonderful make ahead and one that travels well. Thinking to it a parcel makes for easy and one that always impresses. One of my favourites during the holiday season. http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/veal-o ... on-de-veal
I'm sure we are all looking to add something new to the many family and community pot lucks that are on over the holidays, stop in and share your favourite recipes with us.

This afternoon making http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/sweet- ... -meatballs - a must make for tomorrow's gathering.
For those of you baking your holiday pastries and breads for your potluck parties you may want to make copies of baking guide and glazes. Keeping them close at hand is a real time saver when needing to make a quick check for the baking times and special glazes.

No more potlucks but we have a family dinner Christmas eve that I'm taking Focaccia. Also making some Oreo Truffles today for gift baskets.Gerry wrote:Anyone else still planning and preparing dishes for those wonderful make and take holiday parties? This morning finds me making pastry shells and Butter Tarts for the gift opening party on the weekend. Running late but I promised!

Christmas day I'm baking KItten's http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/chocolate-pecan-pie . . well a version of it. Thinking of using Kahlua in place of the coffee crystals and water.
Was going to make twice baked sweet potatoes, but decided on Honey Roasted Sweet Potatoes http://www.recipezazz.com/node/15039
Still pulling together the rest of the menu . . . better get in gear only two more days!

Re: Christmas Potlucks!!!!
Plan to pick up sweet potatoes - have to make your Honey Roasted Sweet Potatoes over the holidays.
