Circumstances as they have been has me late for Cooking On A Dime which I think is timely with the cost of groceries these days. Admittedly along with considering the cost I love cooking, have always gardened, canned and make one lot of my own spices, dressings and such.

Bread is the one thing I find for both taste and cost so worth making which sees my breadmaker a real workhorse. I love soups which are great for families but particularly good for those cooking for one. I do one lot freezing, have invested in the screw top containers and a food sealer which keep my freezer stash tasting as good as the day it was made. My freezers allow for variety in my meals. Like shopping at a deli but far cheaper and in my opinion homemade is for most part so superior to much on the grocer shelf. All in all Cooking On A Dime is a great addition to the forums.
