All of my low carb books say to use real butter, not marg, or another real fat like olive oil. I am happy to comply - I have never been a fan of margarine. The only spread I ever buy is smart balance, because my dd wants it for her toast.

I had coffee with half n half, water, Vitamin Water to replace fluids lost today (1 bottle), hot tea
No lunch - I was in bed most of the day so far, still sick. I did try to eat a yogurt cup and that was ok.
Ordered a very carby dinner, since I never got to to the store to shop due to illness and the only place that delivers is pizza. Not sure how much I will end up eating, but we got pizza and chicken tenders. DD wanted soda, so we got a bottle of Diet Coke too. There was no way I was cooking anything tonight.

Breakfast: 2 eggs over easy, 2 slices Canadian Bacon
Beverages: Coffee w/half & half, water, 1 glass Diet Coke (finished it off)
Lunch: 1 slice pizza leftover with 1 Tbsp ranch (very high carb of course, but it is something that needs to get eaten and gone, frozen another slice, DD will eat the rest)
Dinner: probably a version Alice Springs Chicken (chicken with bacon, cheddar, honey mustard. I will likely use a different mustard or just far less honey than called for), with zucchini on the side.

Lunch: Salad of mixed baby lettuces, avocado, bacon, mini buffalo mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, ginger dressing
Dinner: Baked almond coated fish, small handful sweet potato puffs
Beverages: unsweetened iced tea, coffee w/ half & half, 1 Dr Zevia (diet soda sweetened with Stevia).
I have lost 4.5 pounds so far.

Great Job!!
I'm having lasagna pie ... YEAH Carbs. Not my best night.
But lower fat cheese, turkey, NO noodles, but bisquick.
I guess I don't qualify for anything LOW carb tonight. Night off. But I did well all day.
Poached egg; tuna salad on pita, just a few bites, fruit and then a beer and glass of wine ...
I really blew it didn't I?

I am doing my own kind of diet. I have made cabbage soup 2 times this week and have eaten it 3 times a day for 4 days. Tomorrow is my 3rd batch. I have lost 5 pounds so far. I am eating great big ole bowls too. Tonight I ate some popcorn as a snack. No butter, but light salt. I certainly am not hungry at all, probably doing about 30 carbs per day, except today with my popcorn snack. I certainly am getting my veggies in! I added hamburger so I would get protein with my soup, but am thinking tomorrow I might make it kidney beans as my protein instead.
