I am hoping it wasn't just cookies dunked in beer.

Me?
I went out.
I'd been looking at a blogging friend's recipe for idli and wanted some. I don't have the racks to make them myself.
Idli is a steamed bread/bin made out of fermented batter. It is often served with coconut chutney and a bowl of spicy sambar (soup).
With that I ordered garlic nan bread which was horribly soggy. They used to have great tandoor bread. Before covid. I think they changed chefs. Also raita for the bread.
Water and salted lassi to drink and spiced chai to finish.
Plus pappadums with chutney and mango kulfi comped.
My main was vindaloo goat with rice. Have I mentioned how delicious goat is? I love it.

Bill got a masala dosa.

We shared all and had plenty left to take home.

Goat tastes very much like lamb. Just ever so slightly different. To me, the difference between goat in curry and lamb curry is that goat has more of a chuck roast with bones texture. Lamb seems more like a sirloin roast.
It's amazing!

Had a late lunch of chicken and rice.
Picked up more lamb half off. Making lamb makhani in the instant pot. Still cooking.
I did make some carrot halwa (gajar halwa) last night.
Not doing any super bowl eats since we aren't hosting or attending any party.
Bill has the game on, but I'm not that interested since the Bengals aren't in it.

Remember you can always try something like beef stew meat or chunks of pork shoulder in lamb or goat recipes.
It just won't taste like lamb or goat, which is in your favor. Beef and pork cheaper also.

Sounds delicious!
The search engine is wonky- wouldn't bring that up using the title, but at least searching by recipe number worked.
Here it is for anyone else: https://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/crisp ... reast-5290

FYI to admin on that bug in the code.

For breakfast today I diced a leftover baked potato, added some seasoning and browned it up in the skillet as home fries. With coffee. Wasn't hungry enough for anything else, such as egg or bacon. Potato was the large jacket potato size.
