TGIF Everyone!!
So ... The Weekend Is Just a Day Away!

Today's Cooking ...
I ended up with cheese/crackers/fruit last night. I just plain wasn't hungry.
So, back to potato crusted fish, green beans; and apple cabbage slaw.

Lady #2: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/creamy ... wder-25196 mixed heirloom tomato salad w/honey mustard vinaigrette. Made last night; just dropping off this am.

Over at my friends catering kitchen tonight. Prep for a luau party tomorrow.
My catering friends kids are doing a solo party, w/me supervising for 8 adults/and 8 kids. Outside camping night in their back yard.
I'll post the menu separate.

For anyone interested ... I thought I would post.

My friends family haven't been all together in years; so, they wanted to do a fun party for the adults and kids. Something tropical and camping had to be involved. The kids are between 5 and 12. Just silly over the top fun!

Luau Party - 8 adults, 8 or 9 kids
Hulu hoop, limbo, board games, an outdoor movie screen w/old Elvis Hawaiian movies, steel drum music, individual tents for sleeping, firepit w/blankets/pillows, tiki torches, grass skirts for the tables, parrot pinatas, plastic coconuts for drinks, leis; and, hawaiian paper/plastic ware, etc. The kids are really excited.

Appies ...
Boiled shrimp w/2 dips - poki salad for adults - A kid friendly veggie/cheese/cracker platter w/dip - Mai Tai punch - w/shots for adults
Main ...
Kaluha pork (crock pot) - grilled teriyaki chicken/veggie skewers - coconut rice - grilled adult fruit skewers/and kids version
Dessert ...
Adult coffee/kids hot chocolate - macadamia nut cookies/plain sugar cookies dipped in chocolate/marshmallows dipped in coconut, roasted over the fire pit

Thx cooking Nana; but, I don't have to cook which is the best part. I'm just supervising the kids. I get to sit back and watch for once. But, thx.
I'll help out if needed; but, they are both great cooks. I'll enjoy a good movie on my laptop watching them, lol.

But, it is really enjoyable to see young kids cooking; and doing such a great job. They really put this whole party together on their own.

Ellie, looks wonderful. I love one pot dinners!!!

MORNING ... AND HAPPY SATURDAY! ANYONE HAVE ANY FUN WEEKEND PLANS?
It's Finally Fall in FL, Low 60's At Night, Upper 70's-80's During the Day - Love It!

Perfect time of year to enjoy a small fire pit at night. We don't have much of winter; so, we take what we can get, lol.

Today's Cooking ...
My friend's Luau Party. Although I'm not cooking; I am supervising or over seeing my catering friend's kids, who are doing the whole party.

But, for dinner, I will use up my leftover chicken from the other night and make chicken alfredo. Probably a small salad too.
My alfredo is just butter, parm and a little cream. Very simple.

Sounds like fun, KC.
Last night just old fashioned hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes and gravy over the whole thing.
Tonight I think it's leftover stuffed peppers.
