What WAS on Your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner 9/8-9/9
I have a big catering event Sat; so, lots of shopping and prep today and tomorrow. So, my dinners will be easy.
I have a good ol' tube of Pillsbury pizza crust and some fresh tomatoes - thinking pizza with fresh mozz and basil. Maybe some more watermelon, since it is so good right now.
Also, cooking for 2 ladies plus company tonight. Their card/game night.

(just the cakes); http://www.recipezazz.com/.../southern- ... reens-4800, http://www.recipezazz.com/.../three-3-i ... nt-creamed...; 1 guest is bringing an appie another dessert
I made the grit cakes and corn last night. Collards are cooking; so, just the shrimp left.

I often make a semi thanksgiving dinner throughout the year. Maybe a panzanella salad vs stuffing; brussels sprouts/cranberry salad vs cranberry sauce or green bean casserole; and, somehow, you gotta keep the mashed spuds and gravy, lol.
But, your turkey sounds good. I love it year round; plus ... leftovers; and, then make broth for the freezer stash! Can't loose.

Tonight I'm just having a pizza on naan bread and a nice big garden salad. For dessert, lemon loaf.

Great for ham salad, pasta, scalloped potatoes or mac and cheese with ham, bean soup, etc. And, of course the ham bone.

Busy day here, have a big catering party tomorrow; so, at my friends catering kitchen all day. Lots of food for 40 people. Beach Party.
But, today ... I'm still cooking for one lady and a few friends.
Lady #3+2: Sausage w/kraut, and pierogies; green salad; tomato soup; carrot cake cookies
Dinner for me and my catering friend- her son is picking up Dim Sum + other stuff from yummyhouseflorida.com. She is dating one of the chefs; so, he just puts a box together for her. Not sure what we will have; but, they have awesome food - so, I know it will be good.
So, I'm cooking ... just not for me, LOL!
