What WAS on your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner Tonight 3/2
Perfect weather, 70's and NO rain, mid 50's at night. Happy Happy! Diving at a underground warm spring in northern FL; then, horseback riding on site. On the way home ... a very typical tourist thing, seeing the manatees at a power plant where the gather during the cooler winter waters. It's an easy, 3 days, inexpensive get-a-way.
Lunch: Stopping off at a picnic site, on the way up. In my thermos - a variation of http://www.recipezazz.com/…/uncle-bills ... soup-15133, pureed smooth adding a little cream. AMB whole wheat bread.
Dinner at Camp: Grilled fresh whole rainbow trout, stuffed w/herbs and lemon; foil packet potatoes w/onions and cheese (1 extra for breakfast w/o cheese); grilled corn (1 extra for breakfast); salad greens from my garden grilled, and packed a balsamic mustard vinaigrette.
Also taking - granola, pretzels, crackers/cheese, and mixed nuts.
My friend will take care of the ladies I cook for.
I'll check in when I get a chance! Happy Cooking Everyone!!!

Tonight we are having soup and sandwiches. I started back at WW again - been about three weeks - going okay not great but okay, but there is no way I can have 0-2 point soup without offering something to go with it to the rest of my family. So it is veggie soup with cold cut sandwiches.

Sometimes for dinner; I will do an OPEN face sammy; but, when I was married, I did regular sandwiches for them. I would add more veggies, tomatoes, olives, onions, lettuce, avocado; but, them ... cheese and grilled onions. Nothing extra to cook ... just putting it together differently. It worked.
Hang in there ellie, you will do fine!

OH, I've done this before. Actually made goal/lifetime twice -- each time with different amounts to lose. I now set my goal weight at at more realistic weight that I hope I can reach. My family has to eat the same food I eat - but this gets harder as we get older.Kchurchill5 wrote:My friend tried it and didn't succeed; but, she said she did learn a bit. I think with family and trying to make things work; it is about moderation. She took a lot of what she learned; then, geared it for her family. Some days, she was on point; others ... NO. So, I think you have to do what works for you. Take the good from what they show you; and, adapt it to your REAL life. Just makes sure to exercise, either at home or out; even for a bit. And, moderate your foods. You will do fine.
