What WAS on your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner Tonight 1/14

Morning ...

Kitten, it is nice here. Weather wise, a bit cool this week; but, 60's and 70's our winter. I do, love snow; however, I don't miss it. Rain and storms moving in for us tonight and tomorrow.

And fatty foods; this year wasn't too bad for me. But, many years we eat way too much. It is nice to cut back after the holidays; and get back to a normal diet.
My garden is going crazy right now; so tons of chard, romaine, lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, etc. I love it.

Marcia T, soup and sammies ... especially the classic tomato/grilled cheese. I'm a big soup fan.
Salami casserole sounds very interesting. Good comfort food. Perfect for cold days.

Lady #3: New recipe for a baked cod casserole with spinach, tomatoes, and butter beans. Will post today, I hope.

Me: I'm picking up the last bridesmaid at the airport; then, wine and cheese at the brides house. (wedding this weekend)

Dinner: I had planned my pork dish last night; but, didn't have any pork; instead, it was a package of Eckrich smoked sausage, which I took out too late. So, it was veggie soup (freezer), homemade bread; fruit.

Tonight it was crab cakes (used fake crab meat, can't afford the real stuff), with a lemon/dill sauce, baked parmesan breaded zucchini and a nice garden salad.
