Our girls are 8 and 5, and our boy is 7. I'm currently hanging out on the couch while they play games on the floor, and we've decided on mac & cheese with mixed vegetables for dinner. :D

I think that sounds like a great plan!

What fun ages ! Have a wonderful time with them !

Working late so dinner ( at the office ) is cottage cheese with lots of black pepper, heirloom cherry tomatoes and cape cod potato chips. I have 3 tinly little yellow plums for dessert.

I could live with that. I actually really like cottage cheese. Brekkie for me, I enjoy it with fresh fruit.

Waiting on my grill to dry. I just washed it out - a major cleaning with the pressure washer. As soon as it does; lamb on the grill. It better be soon - Im starving today :)

We had Zesty Zucchini Soup again, a recipe I found of Pinterest. It was ok as the recipe, but I had to spice it up as it wasn't zesty. No idea why they called it that. I didn't add elbow noodles as it called for, but added stars, the very small stars and it was great, just enough starch to thicken it but not suck up all the juice of the soup, even on day 2. Good choice in my book. I will make this again, but with my changes. If I had measured the sririacha sauce or hot sauce and the other spices I added, I could post, but I didn't. I was just trying to "fix" the soup for my family.

My SO is out of town this week.
OH BOY !! that means I
get to polish off the leftovers
(insert sarcastic tone here)!!!
So tonight's dinner is,
BBQ Pork on a toasted onion roll
w/ chips on the side.

Morning, sorry - a bit late. Walmart and Home Depot run. Someone coming over to do some outside work I can't do. TOO heavy; and electrical. I DO NOT do electrical, lol.

Anyways, I think I hear a zucchini theme here. Zucchini when in season is great. I remember harvesting TONS and TONS of zucchini when I lived in MI.

Tonight just me. And Shapes ... leftovers here too. Lentil soup (my last container) from the freezer. And, steak - my 7th meal I got from my 1 very large prime rib cut steak. Making a cold steak sandwich with a spicy creamy mustard sauce, arugula, tomato, and melted cheese. Watermelon for dessert.

Just a soup and sammy night. Easy peasy.

I'll be home tonight for dinner with my massive amounts of farmer's market bounty, so I'm making Fish with Bell Peppers (recipe from "From Garden to Soup Bowl") with a Broccoli, Cherry Tomato and Watercress salad (recipe from "Diabetic Gourmet" magazine).

I am thinking of making zucchini pancakes and having them with some grilled chicken or tilapia.
