My niece has ribs boiling in beer in the crock pot, then we'll add BBQ sauce later and let them simmer until dinner. We're doing something with broccoli for a side, and the adults will have the chocolate pie (it's got Jameson in it) and the kids will have cookies for dessert.

Corned beef sounds great, as do ribs. I ate a very late breakfast, so I haven't made up my mind yet. I do have baby backs in the fridge. I also have smoked sausage, cabbage and potatoes, if I wanted to go that route. There's also lots of cheeses, crackers, veggies and fruits....as well as eggs, spinach and mushrooms. Lots of choices. Of course if it's oven ribs, then I need to get moving. I'll probably leave them out till later in the week.

My niece is making corned beef and cabbage (in the oven, and I'm pretty excited...I've never made it in the oven, always the stove or crock pot). And for dessert we're having my #recipe12264 (just now submitted). We ended up not eating it yesterday because we figured we might as well wait.

Morning and HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!

Guess what's for dinner ... Corned Beef and Cabbage of course. A friend is stopping by after work. I will make soda bread for him; and he can take the rest home. Guinness and Irish Coffee.

Ladies #1 and #2: 4 guests, so ... Corned Beef and Cabbage too, soda bread; and, pickled herring and smoked salmon w/crackers to start (their request). Irish coffee.

Soda bread is in the oven; and their CBC is in the crock. Mine will go in a little later.

Felix, Happy St P day to you. My mom used to make it in the oven; I use the CP too. I bet it will be delicious. Have fun with the family, enjoy the day. Whiskey pie sounds very tempting! I have my whiskey in my coffee,

In the spirit of the day, I'm going to fry some diced potatoes, add some chopped cabbage near the end of cooking time, along with some canned corned beef.

Kc, I love doing homemade CB. It has been years since I have done one, but they sure come out better than the store bought. I'm envious :D :D
