Inv ... so glad you made a salsa. It is really good with pork; different than slaw, but just as good. I like that as a change sometimes.

Sounds like a good dinner. And tomato cheddar bake is always good ... comfort food.

So...still didn't get to see Dan! Although I couldn't be upset since the reason he couldn't see me is he was driving a heart to Gift of Life in Ann Arbor for a transplant. Literally. Ah...the life of a taxi driver.

Tonight, last I knew, mom was going out for dinner with a friend. So I'm having breakfast again: pancakes, scrambled eggs (probably with cheese and Tabasco) and toast. Maybe bacon if I get out of this chair and pull some out of the freezer.

If her plans change, then I'll finally do something with that ground beef. Actually, now that I think about it, I have to. I'm working all weekend. Shoot. OK, pancakes for lunch!

Felix, please thank Dan for being part of the transplant process. Tom works at a hospital in the kidney pre-transplant department. He often gets upset when his patients, who he usually doesn't even meet, die.
He is a clerk who files paper work, and often calls patients to get more information or to tell them to get to the hospital because a needed kidney has been found.

It's VERY odd for me, but apparently they have an account with the taxi company he works for. I would have thought they'd use a helicopter or an ambulance or something, but no...he stops at one of the hospitals here and picks up a cooler, then drives it across the state to Gift of Life, where it's delivered to a surgical team. Although apparently not every driver who works there is granted that particular run. ;)

Dinner will be http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/deviled-ham and a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I had the deviled ham for lunch and it's so good I want more for dinner.

Dinner, wontons with gr beef & lots of veg. Making taco & curry flavored. Serve with a salad. Leftovers will be eaten on the weekend.
