Roast chicken is on for tonight since we went down to the kraut fest.
I made some bacon pasta for lunch and used up my half pack of bucatini.
As per squash, I have 2 acorns, 1 butternut, 1 spaghetti, and 1 delicata to cook very soon. The acorn I may roast, puree and freeze. I have some pumpkins to do also, will freeze those. All those packs will go into my new freezer, just have to cart them down. Pumpkin especially- I like to get them local and fresh so I don't have to use canned. But they will disappear from the roadside stands very soon. And I have plans for those babies- not all pumpkin pie either. LOL

Tonight was steak, mashed cauliflower, and a salad with dried cranberries and goat cheese. I've been on a fall salad kick this week. :)

Morning All!

It's comfort food tonight. Still pretty toasty down here, 90 today; but cooling off starting tomorrow. I'm stuck with a plumber here most of the day - BORING! So, a bit catching up around the house I guess.

Today's Cooking ...
Ladies #1, #2, #3, and Me: Beef stroganoff - http://www.recipezazz.com/rec…/one-pan- ... noff-13988, the noodles cooked right in the pan with the beef.
For all the the ladies, broccoli rabe and fruit; for me, salad and fruit

Morning Everyone!

Easy today. Rain moving in; and, no work tonight. But, I have a plumber here taking apart my bathroom - a leak behind the shower. So, I'm stuck here. Good day to catch up on things.

Dinner ...
Lady #3: Mexican butternut squash soup (new recipe); http://www.recipezazz.com/…/pumpkin-bee ... d-basic-re…; kale salad w/warm bacon dressing

Me: Leftover chicken with figs; and, since I have no more sweet potatoes - maybe some brown rice, and homemade applesauce

Hello!
After camping all weekend I'm still in a BBQ mood, so for me tonight is going to be meat and potatoes on the grill. It's a beautiful sunny day and I'm hoping is going to be a warm night. I will have my BBQ with sangria. For dessert I have no idea.

My friends the other night happily eat the spinach and brain ravioli with out noticing there was brains in them. The panna cotta came out TERRIBLE. :YMSICK:
Thanks God one of my friends brought a fabulous dessert with strawberries, whipped cream and little pieces of broken up Italian meringue.

Ms P, welcome home.
Sorry to hear about the panna cotta; but, good on the brains, :o  :o
If anyone knows me, the grill is where I live; so, sounds good to me.

Morning,

A soggy start to the day here. Doesn't look like any yard work today. And,I'm still stuck with the plumber and tile guy again.

Last night, by the time I got rid of the plumber and ran errands, it was very late. A simple BLT was dinner.

Today's Cooking ...
Ladies #1 and #2: Baked chicken with figs (sweet potato for 1, white for the other); spinach salad w/warm mustard vinaigrette

Me: Back to the leftover chicken and figs; but, no sweet potatoes, brown rice instead; homemade applesauce (made yesterday)

Also, another tray of roasted tomatoes for the freezer.

Good morning!
Kim, I'm in Buenos Aires. Where did you go skiing? Bariloche? Las Leñas?
Tonight...I'm not sure. I want to try Creamy Lemon Thyme Pasta I don't know if I'm going to have it for lunch or for dinner. And the other option is a steak sandwich with grilled onions, made with last night leftover meat and camping leftover onions.

It's a coolish fall day here in northeast Ohio. Thought I'd make my Butternut Squash Bisque http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/butter ... isque-6612, with some homemade bread I made yesterday.
Went out for lunch today, though. Had a really good burger that had been smoked! Never had one like that before.
