Sounds delicious! My b'day is coming up ... can I request dinner?
I know my son is definitely not going to cook for me ... I will be surprised if he remembers. He means well; but, takes after Dad. He didn't remember either.

Tonight we chopped up a bunch of greens and vegetables from the CSA pickup and made an ungodly huge salad for dinner. I have no idea how many kinds of lettuce and other greens there were, with heirloom carrots (orange, yellow, and red), green, yellow, and red bell pepper, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. We just did an olive oil and red wine vinegar dressing with it. YUM!!

It still hurts like a---- I had to stop taking my naprosyn because that amount was making me sick as well.
But I did manage to get dinner made. Bang bang shrimp tacos, but nothing else with that. That was more than I could eat anyway. But it was yum. :)

Morning!

Felix, I bet your salad was delicious. Nothing better than fresh veggies. I love those baby heirloom carrots; for some reason, they are really hard to find here. And, Sue - sorry to hear you are still in pain. The the 'Bang Bang' sounds good. I had that at Bonefish before.

Leftovers were perfect last night - finished off the ribs and a container of mac and cheese from the freezer. Easy dinner.

Tonight, NO cooking. Out with a friend to our favorite Thai place. It's been at least a couple of months since we went. They have a great platter for 2. Two appies, 2 soups; and 3 main dishes, and tea. And you can choose between 8 appies, 2 soups, and 9 main dishes; so, it's a great way to try new dishes. Obviously, they are all smaller portions; but, that's the fun part. A bit of this and a bit of that. They have a nice little outside patio too which is really nice to eat in.

These aren't the baby carrots, Kim...full size carrots in whatever colours happen to grow. I picked up a bunch today for home. Speaking of which, my god did I score at the farmer's market this morning! Pound of carrots, 7 bell peppers (red, yellow, and green), two kinds of kale, three different kinds of lettuce, green onions, 2 summer squash, fresh marjoram, 2 eggplants, a quart of cherry tomatoes, 2 beefsteak tomatoes, 3 heads of garlic, a candy onion, and a pound of green beans: $27.00. Plus I also picked up a giant jar of local honey, a loaf each of garlic sourdough and spinach-feta potato breads (from the Amish stand), and some duck eggs. Then we hit the Asian market where I got two 2-pound bags of rice noodles, a 24-ounce bottle of Maggi seasoning, a piece of ginger root the size of my hand, and a bunch of watercress for $15. While I'm loving that my niece will be living 5 minutes from me instead of an hour, I'm really gonna miss shopping trips when I'm at her house. ;)

Tonight, dinner will be another giant salad with pretty much everything in it. :D
