Morning and TGIF!

Dis - My recipe I bake too, for the same reason. They come out pretty good. Of course not as good as frying, but still tasty. I saw your rice dish, it looked great.
My salad was perfect last night. Used up a bunch of stuff and tasted good; just some fruit for dessert was perfect - nice and light.

Today's Cooking ...
Ladies #1 and #2: tonight a small dinner party with another couple.
An artichoke crostini and baked olives to start; penne w/shrimp and scallops in a spicy vodka cream sauce; mixed greens; and an after dinner coffee w/biscotti

Me: A couple of the poker boys wanted to go out for HH; spring break - NO WAY!
So, we decided on getting Thai or Chinese, just 4 of us. Depending on what we get, I might make a salad with Asian dressing.

Another salad sounds good Kim, I just might make salads tonight. I do have broccoli and cauliflower, might make a salad with that, add a lettuce salad and call it dinner. Getting haircut at 2:30, so that sounds like a perfect supper!

I figured with eating all that rich CBC coming up; salads may be good. And, I know we will have egg rolls tonight; so a little healthy salad thrown in can't hurt.
I am lucky, in that most of the guys I play poker with all like salads, veggies, etc. Very few picky eaters.

Salads sounds like an easy dish. I had some broccoli on my salad last night too. Hopefully you guys are starting to thaw out. I think everyone is ready for spring.

I'll be doing salads and veggies the rest of the weekend, for I am going to be sinful tonight. About once a year I break down and fry chicken gizzards. Tonight is the night :D Nothing fancy, just battered and fried with roasted Brussels Sprouts and biscuits.

Morning and Happy Saturday!

A gorgeous day in FL, time to get some yard work done.
Simple dinner for me.
A container of chicken stew in the freezer. It has parsnips, carrots, celery, onions, kale, and fennel. I also have 2 dumplings in the freezer too. So, add a little broth and heat up on the stove, add the dumplings to cook; and dinner. Pretty easy.
Fresh fruit on the side.

We are COOKING today! My niece is making freezer breakfasts for the week: egg-sausage-cheese English muffins, pancake bites, and breakfast muffins. I'm making a cheater coffee-chocolate pie I need to post here, as well as #recipe3812 for lunch, #recipe4683 for dinner, and #recipe7394 and #recipe11586 because I can.

I'm not sure about gizzards, but I would be willing to try them.

Morning/Afternoon ...

I'm late. Was on early, then out; then on, and back out here shortly. A weekend of errands. Trying to get my plants for my earthboxes. Spring planting has come.

Lady #4 is not back until tomorrow. Will be making her corned beef then.

Me, I took my CB out of the fridge, I did my own corning this year. It looks delish. It will be ready to go in the crock in the morning.

Dinner ... easy.
Spaghetti with garlic oil and toasted bread crumbs; and, a side salad (mixed greens) with http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/no-oil ... ssing-7787
