Morning,
Dinner was good. I scarfed down an entire lb of crab, lots of garlic lemon butter; and the whole steak. Tonight ... I think soup is on order.
Today's cooking ...
Ladies #1 and #2: New recipe, well an old one revamped. Mango turkey burgers on thin sandwich thins, topped with thin onion strings; classic potato salad; and, a mixed melon salad
Me: Leftover shrimp, potato, and corn chowder; tomato bruschetta

For the love of all that's holy, DO NOT tell anyone I have today off! The rain turned to snow but doesn't appear to be sticking, at least not yet. I'm doing #recipe4697 and #recipe8466.

Dis, BTW, glad to see you back. I know you have been busy ... we'll take you in tiny doses if that is all we get, lol.
Nice to see you; and, hope all is well.
Stay warm ... looks like some chilly weather has already hit. 12 is just f*****g cold! Bundle up.
And, chili is always a good choice!

I wished I had measured the spices when I added them this time. Everyone said it had just the right heat and was perfect! DH said do this again! I told him, I will try to remember exactly how I did the spices. Probably will never make it that good again! (DANG IT!) Sometimes you just can't make it the same again, no matter how hard you try. I just added, tasted, added, tasted.

Oh yes and its darn cold out there! Just let the dogs out! Right now its 9° but feels like 1° it said. At least the wind stopped! The dogs were ready to come in after about 5 minutes. It used to be a 15 minute ordeal, they were barking at 5 to come in!

Morning ...
Dis, I'm with the dogs, I don't think I would of lasted 5 minutes.
And yes ... sometimes, you just get the perfect ratio of spices; then try to re-create. I've done that way too many times.
Today, easy. Nothing special here. A veggie night!
Have 2 portabellos I'll stuff with artichoke hearts, olives, onions, lightly sauteed. Maybe a little breading just for some substance. Then topped with a tomato slice and fresh mozz, and grilled.
Served over a bed of garden greens. And, homemade white bread.

First day of six doing West Side Story. Dinner will be potluck...not in the way that everyone brings something, but in the way that I will be pulling a Ziploc container of something out of the freezer and will discover when I eat it what it is. It's a game I play, and I've got about eight different things in there right now.
