They are smallish, about the size the rotisserie birds come in. I can often get them for a good price at Whole Foods whenever they have a 2 fresh birds bundle for 11-12. Probably 3-4 pounds. I rarely buy a huge roaster unless it is on sale. I will buy it at any of the local grocery stores, whoever has the best price that week.Kchurchill5 wrote:I know, it is chilly HF, I have my sweats on; but if I work out in the yard today ... I'm sure I will be stripping a bit, lol.
Ice cream sounds delish. Love Grand Manier.
Question, what type of chicken do you get. I gave up on the roasters (the big ones); and usually just get the smaller fryer ones. Only 3 lbs usually, but they are actually sweeter to me; and they are almost always under $5. For me, I get leftovers; but for you, you probably wouldn't, but I have found them really good. I know the big roasters are expensive usually.
We ended up having essentially leftovers and a few odds and ends from the freezer tonight. Never made it to the store today.

Guys will be guys!Kchurchill5 wrote:I know that. When my son lived here I would leave instructions ... easy, like bake the fries; or cook the pasta. NO WAY. It was nuke and eat! I remember it well, lol
Sorry to the men here who love to cook. Some of your kind, don't.

Edited to add: Some of our kind, don't like it either, or don't know how...

True true on the cooking. My son is stopping over today and I have 3 dishes for him. One is a pot pie, stew, and mac and cheese. And I know he will be mad because they need to be baked, NOT nuked, lol. That means he needs to be patient

But my g/f, I gave some of my mac and cheese to her last week ... she put it in the microwave and tried to cook it. ALUMINUM TIN
