Veg today for Ash Wednesday.
I'm not Catholic but I enjoy any day with dictates for certain kinds of food.
So lunch was fried walleye with fries and slaw.
Dinner will be a vegetarian version of muffuletta with whatever is in the fridge still or chips. I have stuff to make a salad.
Sounds yummy...

I had noticed there weren't any vegetarian recipes available to view...and here you are having a vegetarian dinner...what a q-wicky dink...I'm sure that's not spelled correctly...

Yeah, that vegetarian category is overrun with side dishes. I wish we could sort by vegetarian main dishes.
I'm not solid vegetarian anymore but after a few days with meat heavy meals I need to veg out.
Not that I think of fish and eggs as true vegetarian.
I liked the muffuletta. I never missed the meat.

This tequila lime shrimp looks sooo good!
It doesn't look like we've had a review of it in a few years, can anyone add one?
Anyone want to do an adaptation for a tequila lime marinade for grilled shrimp?
Have you tried this with pasta instead of rice?
We should remember this for our Cinco de Mayo event.
This looks real tasty too, #recipe12379

Last night I made dry-rubbed roasted pork tenderloin, Bavarian-style sauerkraut, and corn. The pork was a little less than 2 pounds, let it sit after the dry-rub for a couple hours before roasting. Then roasted at 400° F. for 15 minutes, then reduced to 375° F for another 30 minutes. Came out very juicy and tender. Then for dessert, I make a new recipe I found online called Old Fashioned Graham Cracker Cake. It kind of tasted like spice cake.
