Morning everyone,

Church, I have been watching "The Fades" logged as fantasy/horror. I am now on my 3rd episode. Interesting SyFi type show & worth seeing if you can get your hands on this? It reminds me a little of the X-Files. Tried to give you a good link but so many sites are down today for 24hrs. due to the US Congress wanting to pass a new bill for sites.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1772379/

Picked up your recipe for the tomato sauce for pasta. I will have to use canned tomatoes to make it.

Computer problems were massive yesterday, Then seemed to correct in the late afternoon. Funny that we would both have problems at the same time?

Mexican goulash, would like to hear more about this? Plus I am waiting for a bowl of your asparagus soup?

Laury, I often do baked potatoes & a caesar salad for Dd & myself. A new way for making a baked potato here is to wash/dry then fork it to death. Place in a plastic bag & add kosher salt. Then let it sit for the day. A nice result. It makes the potato fluffy.

I often make a cucumber salad the way the Dutch do. This includes the ingredients of white vinegar & sugar.

Denise, who is coming to visit?

The temp here has dropped from 50F at 10pm to 23.2 now. The winds have been so bad they have rattled the windows. Plus the snow has arrived. I will say again I hate winter!!!!!!!

I am Home Alone, so I have many items in the frig. I do not think I will see Dh till Friday? I plan to do some cooking which includes Invistus (sp)posted recipe here. I did make it to the grocery store so now have everything in house. I really need people to cook for.

Again with the early morning! Bah! Today I'm doing something in our convention center, but I'm not entirely sure what it is exactly. Requires wearing business casual, though.

Dinner? No clue. It depends on how late it goes. I might work five hours, I might work ten or more.

Morning Nin ...
Major computer issues here, but just my computers. One laptop the screen finally died. The other I have NO USA port, so no mouse, the other the hard drive is going. I spent hours last night, restored one to a degree which I am on now, the other, NO screen, it bit the dust. Off to the computer guy today with hopefully just the one if I can keep the other working, until that is fixed.
Computers Suck!!

Posted my Mexican Recipe, but I don't think it went through (that is when my screen died), I will check in a bit.

It is a basic goulash, but with Mex flavors. Beer, chorizo, onions, celery, peppers, bell and spicy, diced canned tomatoes, salsa, and tomato sauce, black beans, corn, cumin and of course noodles.Top with cheese. It made a huge casserole, you could cut in half, but I am taking 1 large pan to a friend who is alone and then 2 containers to my neighbor, 1 for dinner and 2 in the freezer. A lot of ingredients, but very little chopping. I just let it simmer because I thought the flavors would get even better.

WED ...

Lady #1 and #2: They have a luncheon or some party in the neighborhood

Me: Tonight is easy, chicken on the grill with a simple BBQ sauce (store bought, but I will add a little apricot jam and ginger to spice up the flavor); roasted brussels sprouts and some more of my tomatoes, yummy

Still trying to use ON hand ingredients rather than buying more.
-------

This week got mixed up with dinner plans, but still trying to make stuff I had either planned this week or next. So, not too far off.he SyFy show sounds interesting, I will look it up. I was a huge X-Files Fan, I still like watching re-runs.

This am while working on these computers I watched 2012 that I DVR'd with John Cusak and Amanda Peet, It was on the FX channel. I saw it before, but been a while. Good special effects, and interesting. It was nice in the background. 9:30 and still working on this POS. Frustrating !!!!!

Well, this am ... I made myself a nice asparagus omelette with leftover asparagus - delish. I knew I wouldn't be eating till dinner, so it tasted good. A bit more than I have usually, but it will tide me over

Church, I have seen 2012 & as you posted the special effects were very good.

Still having computer problems also. Do you think it has anything to do with the blackout?

Posted in your Mexican Goulash recipe for the link please? A casserole to be baked is right down my alley.

Laury, I do not see a response to my post to you? Have I missed it?

Kathleen that looks very nice. I must try it.

So I see no post by Denise. You know she is cleaning for company. She is the Cleaning Bee. I wish she would come to my house. I would fill her full of food & drink for her time.

Well we are not doing bad here in the weather. Temp 27.9 which us close to freezing. I could be out in Dd's land at -40F. Remember this is the child that asked me to move there? That will not be happening. I am going to live in Denise's or Church's home & pay rent, lol.

Tomorrow the snow comes in again. I may seriously hop a plane.

OK, I am leaving the last "double post" in the hope of a response?

What is this? The blackout effect? I am looking at a handful of responses since I came on this morning.

And the winner is...leftover salsa chicken with kidney beans that I forgot was in the refrigerator. Turns out what I was loading in today was the Michigan Music Festival. Whatever.
