I have defrosted chicken, and I've got bacon and cheddar cheese. I'm assuming I can come up with something utilizing those three things that will involve a casserole dish. It's cold as heck today (all of 55F and WAY windy), and now I wish I had bought all the stuff for the beef stew instead of putting some of it on the grocery list for Wednesday. Oh well.

Felix, I have a low carb chicken recipe that calls for Cheddar and bacon posted on Zazz. I'll find the link for you.

Here it is:
Recipe # 26634

Got my car back - the noise and rattling is still there, but they said I don't need the expensive repair the other shop claimed I needed. I may still need some repairs down the line, but I didn't need to get it done today. They said it is safe enough to drive for now - good news. So I just had my tired rotated & oil change today, nothing but routine stuff.

I bookmarked it for later, HF, thanks! Unfortunately, today I don't have time to marinate, and I have not one mushroom (not even canned) in the house. Definitely on the list, though, thanks!

I'm going to do a variation of my Broccoli and Chicken Casserole, but with bacon, and quite possibly a can of black-eyed peas since I only have two chicken breasts. Everything is better with bacon.

Glad you don't have to get the expensive repair done, too! Did they give you an idea how much the upcoming repairs will cost so you can start saving money toward them?

Edit:
I lied. I found a box of Stove Top stuffing, so carbs be damned. Bacon and chicken and Stove Top and creamed soup...perfect! :D

Morning everyone,

Still trying to work on the same wine spilled keyboard. I am sitting here laughing as I was looking at the programs on TV. At this time in the morning it is usually pre-paid programing or Church. So I am flipping through the channels & came across a movie "How To Look Good Naked". On the "Womens Network" channel but it is not a movie. It is a show out from Britian. It was really interesting & if you get a chance you should watch this show! This show is about fashion & how to wear it well.

The weather here is warmer then yesterday at 52F but it is raining this morning.

Dinner, I am pounding out chicken which I will bread & fry. I will make new potatoes with parsley & chives from the garden. I need to go to the grocery store for a veg.

You know this keyboard is working well. Maybe it dried out??????

I am so bored from watching pre-paid commercial TV. I am thinking I will purchase LuminessAir.com makeup which is an air brush. Says we will look 10yrs. younger????

So anyway got bored with that so went looking for the paper.

So the question of the day & you are not allowed to look up the word to win. No prize either!

What does this word mean "bumbershoot". & it is on the front page of the newspaper.

Morning Nin and Morning All!

Busy morning off cooking for the lunch group. I've been sitting at the counter, cooking and online while my fish cooks. Everything is done and packing up to be delivered in a couple of hours.

Picked out some tile for my backsplash in the kitchen, so I will taking down the old tiles and getting ready to put the tile up next week; well that is the plan.

Today's Cooking ...

Catered Lunch Group:
Poached salmon in white, lemon, dill, onion, and peppercorns. Served chilled topped with
http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/creamy ... sauce-fish over a bed of organic greens. On the side a mixed olive tapenade on a toasted baguette.

Me:
Leftover chicken and rice from Sat with a g/f; tomato/mozzarella salad; and an appetizer to start - grilled artichoke with a creamy lemon sauce.

My dinner plans are up in the air. I could make make leftovers or Pesto Chicken or grill some burgers. Haven't decided which it will be.

Made meatloaf last night and once again it was not what I was looking for. Recreating family recipes is sometimes very difficult when the family members who made the dishes can't remember what they used to do >< :D

Recreating family recipes can be difficult! I have learned that what I once thought was fabulous as a child isn't at all what I would seek out as an adult. A very good example is my mom's beef stew. I have very very found memories of this so I got the recipe this past winter from her and made it. So disappointed! Wasn't at all what I remembered.

Today it is very fall like in the Pacific Northwest. I say this as I am snacking on banana bread and drinking hot chocolate! Overcast, blustery, and a weeeee bit yucky. I love it!

Tonight I am making meatloaf, twice baked potatoes, and fresh green beans.

Umbrella! :D

I got up at 4:15am so I could be at work at 6am. We got out at 4pm, and lucky me Dan was available because my mother is out and about with a friend for the day. All of that means dinner is probably not going to be anything...or maybe some of the leftover casserole from yesterday. Or maybe a bowl of Cocoa Puffs. I am WHIPPED! Luckily, I don't have to be in until 9am tomorrow, but I have no earthly idea how long I'll have to be there.

Today was loading in Blue Man Group, which will be here all week. I, however, will be doing something with Steelcase's 100th anniversary the rest of the week instead.
