Oh, and my insurance doesn't pay for smoking cessation in any form. They'd far rather collect the increased premium from smokers.

They sent me cards from every port and stops on their cruise and trip to Ireland and Scotland. They also got me a beautiful light sweater from Ireland (hand made). It is gorgeous and some very cool kitchen items from their Mediterranean cruise; along with some cool spices. I'm happy. It is the first I saw them since they got back.
It was fantastic; so my chicken will get made tomorrow and everything will just get moved up a day.

Yikes ... question; many people smoke and have surgery. Why quit smoking before a blood test. My friend is a chronic smoker and he just had major surgery. Seems strange, but I'm no doc.Felix4067 wrote:Short version: A minimum of 30 days from when I have my last cigarette (please keep your opinions about smoking to yourself, thanks), I can call her to make an appointment for a blood test to make sure I actually quit smoking. After the results from that come back, then she will schedule the surgery, but it will take about six weeks from that time before it can be done.

Crazy isn't it?
