Well, my ankle hurts; I spent 3 hrs in the ER and never got in. I came home. I will try later, but honestly, I have no patience for that. I just won't do it.
My back is actually worse today then my ankle. Hurts like He**! I know I pulled it when I try to recover from my fall, but wow, I can't turn over in bed, sit up, stand up. It is just debilitating. Right now on the heating pad which has helped and had to take another asprin which I hate to do.
Dinner ... I have chicken leftover, from this week; just heated up with lima beans and maybe a baked spud. Anything easy that I can just microwave, but still healthier than take out.

Alas, for we have two shows and a loadout, which means I again have about ten minutes to call my own. I brought a deli roast beef and Swiss sandwich on Wonder Bread, the bacon and ranch pasta salad I didn't eat yesterday, some seedless watermelon chunks, and the last piece of the store-bought chocolate cake my sister bought for mom's birthday.
To be followed by a quantity of adult beverages, because no one should EVER have to work seven shows of Disney on Ice in four days. And I don't have to work until 10am tomorrow.

Re: What's for Dinner? March 2012
After a rainy start yesterday, which was nice - we needed it. Today is sunny and a bit cooler. Still basically confined to my bed / sofa; and very little walking. Waiting to hear from my Doc today to see when I can get in.
Today, I got my friend who also caters and is a personal chef to help out with my ladies. She is taking over this week and most likely next until I find out more. She has filled in for me before and the ladies love her, so no problem.
Me ... I'm very thankful I freeze leftovers and cook ahead.
Tonight I have a container of wild white rice blend, that was leftovers that I froze. I'll either poach or broil some salmon (also in the freezer) with some kind of sauce. I could make a lemon caper sour cream sauce/ baste it with a BBQ type of glaze/ or a sour cream dill sauce. I guess I will decide when the time comes. But poaching will be easier right in the microwave. Probably fresh tomato slices, fruit, or maybe a cucumber salad.
With my fresh herbs and my garden tomatoes and onions my friend gave me; I have enough on hand to get me through.

My friend was cremated last week. I have her 3 young adult girls staying with me till Sat. Today they are cleaning out their Mother's home.
The weather was lovely here last week & many of my bushes & bulbs are in bloom.
The weather has now turned cold with a breeze that cuts through you. Since I do not know when my guests will return I have made chili, salad & garlic bread for dinner.
Church, I am sorry to hear about your fall.

I have apparently missed something! I am very sorry for your loss, Ninner.Ninner wrote:My friend was cremated last week. I have her 3 young adult girls staying with me till Sat. Today they are cleaning out their Mother's home.

I was the queen of lazy tonight. Fried boneless pork chops (the broiler still hasn't been fixed), heated up a can of sweet peas, and microwaved some frozen cauliflower in cheese sauce. Whatever.
