I'm looking forward to a cooler TG with my fire pit, and cooking everything; but, wouldn't want a white Xmas. Up north however, that was always a treat. Freezing rain and sleet is just not fun.

Hope but, it doesn't look good for lots of TG travelers.

Chili sounds good to me ANY time of the year.

Do you have a recipe, that would be fun to make. Sounds good
I used the crispy thai tilapia with spicy basil sauce recipe I have posted.

Morning!

Well it's 5am, and the fur babes decided they wanted their morning snack. And, I was actually sound asleep for once. So much for that. I knew it was too good to be true. It's a rain day around here, then the cool down starts for the next few days.

Today's cooking is busy. Last night I prepared all the sides, pies, and cider. Today is just cooking the ham and turkey, rolls and kale salad. I even made a base gravy, so I just have to add the drippings and it's done. I borrowed my friends portable warming cart she uses for catering. I can keep 4 large trays warm for up to 2 hours which will really help. Glad I have a pickup,

Lady #4 and her family (12): Turkey day. Dinner at 2, then later they are off to Disney for the week with the grand kids.

Turkey and gravy, ham glazed with a currant/mustard sauce, a classic stuffing w/sausage, fresh green beans w/mushrooms, kale and apple salad; sweet potatoes roasted with bourbon, maple syrup, and pecans. Mashed spuds, dinner rolls, cranberry relish, pumpkin and apple pies, spiced cider.

Me: Cabbage soup from my freezer stash; and, a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.
I picked up some cajun blue crab dip from a local seafood market (it is the best). I can snack on that during the day.

Sounds good Shapes! Clouds have moved in; temps falling slowly, and rain too. Tomorrow will be much cooler. Fall in the air.

Comfort food sounds like a good thing.

If it would stop snowing at some point, that'd be great. Last year we didn't get a real snowfall until almost Christmas, and it was wonderful. At any rate, #recipe7632 is in the oven, #recipe9208 is chilling in the fridge, and I've got sour cream, salsa, and sliced black olives waiting.

I already have sautéed some sliced baby 'bella mushrooms to put on a grilled cheese. I'll side that with some pickle slices and black mushrooms :)

Felix ... love it. Anything Mexican for me I enjoy always
Deepster, I had grilled ham and cheese with soup and onion rings. Changed it up a bit.

Fine for me. Made for a nice easy dinner.
