Sorry Felix ... Hopefully Xmas will work for you.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hope that everyone is safe and had a merry and blessed Christmas. I'm still sick, but my son will come over to open the rest of his presents; and, dinner for me - maybe a poached or scrambled egg and more toast; followed by an asprin chaser. Not exactly my version of Xmas ... but all is well.

All the food was freezer, or things that will last; so no problems that way. Best I could do.

I hope everyone else is having a great Christmas!!

Shapes, I would be so for that dinner ... just change my dessert to a baked custard; and count me in.
Love CH;s and beans and spuds sound divine. Tomorrow, dinner is ribs crock pot, beans, and spuds ... Providing, I want to eat more than saltines and toast.

Sounds tasty to me.

Well, my son came over this am and opened all the remaining presents; only 3-4 last night. He loved them all except 2 ... Publix gift card. I said go get coffee, coffee drinks, gatorade, chips, etc. He then realized OK.
And, a gift card holder. He hates gift cards. Then, he figured out that may be good too. Soo, all is well in present land.

Got to love picky kids and Xmas .

Your son is a grownup, correct? You'd think he could suck it up and be happy you bought him anything instead of complaining about what you did buy. In our family, you stop getting presents after the year you turn 18. Picky kids are one thing, picky grownups are something else entirely.

Hope you feel better soon, Kim!
Felix, call your surgeons office and get hold of whoever is taking his calls on call. There should be an answering service that can forward your call.
Dinner today is baked ham, baked macaroni and cheese and roasted brussels sprouts with chestnuts.

Felix, he was actually really sweet. He complained a bit ... but, you have to know my son. That was expected. Really, he was great; and we had a good time. He is my only family other than an Uncle in LV, NV who I have never met. Yes, yes he is extremely picky, but ... I know that. He still will use it; that is just how he is, he says how he feels.
Yes, is is 24 going on 12 at times. He takes after Dad unfortunately ... he can't always be polite or tasteful. However, he will use everything, he just has to speak his mind.

Oh well, after 24 years ... I have got used to it. We still had a great time.

Sue, dinner sounds good. And thx, feeling better.
I'm actually thinking about something other than eggs for dinner ... but don't want to push it. Maybe a carbonara ... we will see.

Reason #9642 why I HATE that I had to use doctors worker's comp chose: There is no answering service. The office is closed. I can only leave a message on the same system I left messages on Tuesday morning. All of their outgoing messages say if you're having a medical emergency you should call 911.

Pasta tossed with egg, and a little ham. A make shift carbonara. It was OK. NOT too much, a small amount. After 2 1/2 days I needed some food. I had ginger tea too which was good. Hopefully tomorrow better yet.
