I know one of my friends says, the A&W by her still has the trays, but not sure on the frosted mugs. GOOD memories, none the less.

Ended up with my burger, corn on the cob, and peaches. Had to wait till 7 to start cooking. Rained from 4-7 pm showers, pretty normal.

Ice on the knee, very tender tonight; so, TV and nothing else tonight. Worked hard today ... probably wasn't a good thing to do, but ... some one had to do it.

When I lived in GA, it was a mall location, but here in MN its a normal drive in like in the old days! You pull up, press the button, order your food, a girl comes out with a tray that you put on the window or they now have a ledge to set it on. We didn't get frosty mugs, but rootbeer was just in a throw away cup. There was a sign that said you can buy their mugs if you would like. SO it was like in the "olden days" at this location. Not sure about the ice cream, for the floats, we didn't order that. But yes it was good! They do have good food!

Tonight we had Holiday Casserole. It was really good. Recipe probably isn't available yet, as I added pics to the recipe, so its in waiting for approval, again. Really tasty meal.

Heather, chicken, pasta and veggies sound delicious. Leftovers are good!

Kim grilled burgers sound good too, and we are eating corn out of our ears! (No pun intended) But honestly, this time of year, so many veggies. My tomatoes are just starting. I have so many tomatoes already, its not even funny. Going to start throwing into bags and freezing what we can't eat, because there are many more to come! Love this time of year! I put a salt shaker in my car, so as I pull up in the driveway, I can get out, check my garden and pluck a tomato and eat! I know, not washed! But nothing better than right from the garden!

No "frosty mugs" on delivery to your car :!: :!: I'd kinda like to have on of those mugs just for nostalgia. So much for A&W..... :D

I have an A&W Mug.
I have a small bar; and on the bottom shelf, I have a mug from my Moms college (alma college signed by famous Detroit Tigers player Jim Northrup who went to Alma); a collector mug from Disney, A&W. A bunch of steins, and several beer glasses from German that were my Grandfathers. A Stuckey's glass where they served their floats. And a couple of others. My grandmother had a few, and my parents kept them. They are fun to bring out now and then. People are always interested when I bring them out.

Morning Everyone!

Monday already. The weekend is never long enough. I ended up going in to work last night; short shift, but it was nice to get out of the house. I brought a bunch of work home with me.

My friend is still covering for me (cooking for the ladies) until my knee feels better.

Me, stouffers mac and cheese; I have a little broccoli and cauliflower to use up; and I will make a small cucumber, onion, and radish salad.

Kim, you need a stool that rolls. That way you could roll around your kitchen and cook!

I spent 10 months on crutches with a bad knee before surgery, then another month afterward...it's amazing how hard the easy things get! Hope you recover soon.

Dinner tonight will be leftover corned beef and cabbage boiled dinner. My Dutch oven was full to the brim, and it's only down about two inches. I suspect soon I'll be portioning it into Gladware and freezing it for later.

Right on, Dissie. Kc, we are all hoping for a speedy recovery for you!!

Tonight, it's just crackers, cheese and fruit. Due to this weather, I'm really in too gloomy a mood to do much more

Thx Felix ... I remember what you went through. Yep, not fun. Just trying to get around as much as I can; and cook easy. The bending, and constant walking is hard. But standing is OK. The grill works for me. NO moving about. I can just set in my lounger and watch the grill ... and drink wine. LOL

I envious of the CBC, one of my favorite meals for sure.

Well, I went to the store. BIG MISTAKE. Fresh tuna, and steelhead. Steelhead, 1/2 lb for 2.69; tuna for 6.00 for a huge slice. I couldn't refuse. So, on to the grill tonight. Mac and cheese can wait till tomorrow.

Sesame Tuna; warm slaw; green beans; and the last of my leftover peaches. I don't think any recipes, just gonna wing it. Change that ... changing again. Will be back
