I am well aware of the consequences of hurting it more...tomorrow's an easy day. Family comes over, we eat, we hang out, we open presents, we eat pie, we hang out some more, they go home. Then Monday I wake up and have surgery finally.

Morning!

Today ... Busy with work (stuff I get paid for); cleaning, delivering gifts, volunteering at the nursing home, and cooking for the two ladies.

Ladies #1 and #2: BBQ'd tilapia, glazed carrots, and roasted potatoes
Me, if I manage to get everything done ... my dinner requirements are - paper plate and the microwave. Probably leftover shrimp pasta stir fry from last night. I'll add a few more veggies to the leftovers; and maybe a few tomatoes. Dinner!

I suspect that whatever I eat for dinner it'll be fabulous, and I'm equally sure I will not remember what it is. Haven't eaten since midnight, and not supposed to get home from the hospital until early evening.

Felix, best wishes for a successful surgery; and hope everything goes well. Rest up tonight!
And no ... dinner is the least of your worries.

Hey, that's my recipe. Boy, I haven't made that in over a year. My ladies will love that. Thx for the reminder. I hate recipes I completely forget about. So thank you!

I did end up with just a small bowl of leftovers. I ended up adding some peas and broccoli; and it was fine.

My house is still trashed, way too much to do and Xmas Eve is tomorrow! I need a hale mary!

Afternoon everyone!

Rough start here to the Holiday Season. SICK, temperature, flu, aches, stomach, etc. I feel like death warmed over.
I can't even have my son over tonight. I hope maybe he can stop by tomorrow to get his presents. Definitely NO cooking for me today!

But, a Happy Christmas Eve and Merry Christmas to all!

I had a can of beef with barley soup and some Club crackers. I'm in a hell of pain, and the surgeon's office apparently didn't find it necessary to return my call or fax in a better prescription before leaving for the holiday. Soup and crackers will be my plan for at least the next couple of days, since I seem to be able to keep them.
