Scratch that. The turkey wasn't defrosted and the kids were being evil, so they had hot dogs, bread and peas, and we ordered Chinese delivery to go with our home-brewed October Ale.

Morning All! Another long night at work; but coffee is beginning to kick in.

Girlfriend stopping over after work. I am cooking their parent's anniversary dinner in a few weeks, and we a going over the plans.
Going to finish off the remaining chicken pot pie I made earlier this week, tomato soup, and a salad; my g/f is bringing over homemade carrot cake cookies.

Ladies #1 and #2:
Game night. Hoagies - Italian subs; 5 bean salad; pasta salad and Italian cookie ice cream sandwiches

Morning Church,

I am not receiving notification from this site??? Other sites no problem.

Well it is the long-weekend. I have already had someone phone me this morning to tell me that the USA is having a holiday on Monday? That many manufactures will be closed? I said I don't think so?????

Weather is overcast like it is going to rain but that is not the forecast.

The plan for dinner tonight is Church's recipe "Sarasota's Sweet and Spicy Pork Tenderloin".

http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/saraso ... tenderloin

I plan on serving this with new potatoes & mint, asparagus, having a cheese moment so a veg dish w/cheese, salad.

So bottom line is I have no idea what is happening.

Morning Nin,

Enjoy the day and the pork. Hope the weather holds out for you. Sunny here and no rain. Back to dry again. I hate to leftovers again; but I need to use them up. At least I'm home tonight and I get at least reheat food rather than drive through or eating on the go.

No holiday here this week; but memorial day is coming up. Quiet weekend for me. Lots of house work is all I am planning on and some yard work as well.

Today will probably be BLT's. Need something easy and quick that we can eat. Tonight is a baseball game and tomorrow the boys leave early for day #1 of tournament weekend. I'm being smart and opting out of most Saturdays this year so I can still maintain some sort of life! Still, I have to stay up late and pack a cooler for them so it's all ready to go when they hit the road at 5:30am.

Church glad to hear you have the evening off work.

Now please set us straight here in Canada. Next Monday is your holiday?????? Please in future if you would let me know your official holidays I would really appreciate it.

So plans changing by the minute/hour. If everyone is not working today or leaving work about an hour ago. They want hamburgers on the BBQ. I can do that but have given a list for making it happen. One is the liquor store, , Portugese (sp) bakery for bread.

Still have no "spell checker on Site". Admin please fix!!!!!

Adding that when posting that it does not post every time.

Nin

May 28 is Memorial day. Officially. Always the last Monday in the Month. No other holidays that I know of.

Spell checker would be nice. I often forget my glasses, so that is helpful :)
And yes, the NOT posting is aggravating. And it happens quite often. I know it happens where you have to confirm if someone posted before you or at the same time. But many times that isn't the case and it just dissappears. It says it posted, but doesn't

I have reported that a while back.

Have fun with the burger bash tonight.

I have to pay for my kitchen cabinets next week so I really want to save up a bit. It will cost me almost 3,000 so I definitely want to try to save. Besides. I have lots of salmon, fish I caught, some tilapia, shrimp, pork, beef, steaks, pantry; all on hand. So I really want to concentrate on those before getting much more on hand. With my renovations and ankle, I didn't get to make as much as I wanted; so now, I need to use stuff up. Seafood was really my only new purchase lately other than a few items.

I am still trying to figure out what I am making tonight. I still have time to run to the store if I need to. I am tempted to just have pizza, but I don't want to eat the carbs. A new gourmet place opened nearby that sells unusual toppings like fig - it sounds really good and the place is packed every night. Sooo tempting.

But I am both trying to save money and carbs so I am trying hard to resist. Maybe I will grill some fish or chicken.

Thanks Church. so next Monday is your holiday. I would also appreciate spell check as I am now taking it to Word to post then Spell Check. Time consuming! Also I have notice this week with the new add on top of the page I am doing a lot of re-boots.

$3,000 on the kitchen cabinets. I am sure they are very nice. What material did you pick?

Change in plans it will be hamburgers which are now completed. Have had calls/drop offs from the bakery & booze store. I will make two salads the rest to be brought by guests including dessert.

Heather, you have your man coming for a visit soon. I wish I had a man coming. lol!

P.S. Spell Checking working at the moment.

I am so happy he's coming soon. I only have a couple of weeks to get my house organized and plan out what to cook. Aaaaaahhhhhhhh!

Hamburgers sound so good right now. Maybe that is what I will make tonight. I could go for some blue cheese burgers.
