Morning,

Yesterdays buffet went well & we ate outside. Dd just left for work & this afternoon is her company BBQ so I will not see her till 9pm.

Dinner will continue to be the same BLT & leftovers from last night.

Still 100% humidity with a chance of rain this afternoon. We will see?

Church did not post yesterday. I wonder if she is having trouble with her internet?

Felix, wow....just wow. That is crazy.

I made a skillet pasta dish, tonight is yet to be determined. At this point, no clue.

It was stormy last night, so I made fish & chips, my bf had a chicken sandwich instead of fish. Hopefully tonight will be burgers on the grill, maybe with a picnic salad or something like that. If it storms again, it will probably be tacos instead.

Heather the storm "s" are headed our way starting tomorrow. Bit of a disappointment as we are headed into a long weekend. The storms are expected to last from Fri. to Sunday. Then again the weather reports were for rain yesterday. We did not see a drop.

Felix, I'm so sorry with everything going on. But, I do agree with the second opinion. I am not so sure I would trust someone like that. Everything happens for a reason ... I do believe that.

Nin, sorry it is so warm. It was very very hot yesterday. And, just north of here, Tampa, is rained, quite a bit, and east of here, but just a few miles. NOT one single drop here. It is getting old.

Yesterday was a bit crazy, today, lots going on, but we will see how it goes.

Lady #3 has some medical tests, so no dinner for her.

Me: A good friend (old neighbor), she and her fiance are in town for a couple of days visiting family/friends before heading back to Atlanta to get married this weekend. Meeting them at 3 for a couple of appetizers and a cocktail or two. Depending on what we have, and how late we stay, I may just make some scrambled eggs for me later; or maybe get something from the restaurant to take home. No clue.

I ran away to my niece's house for a couple of days. We're a bit hung over today, so it's 9pm and we just sent her husband out for Chinese food. :)

HF, NOT a drop here. I know you guys have had more rain than us. Nothing. But I would love some. Looks, like a little wave will hit us this weekend. NO complaints. We need it.

Tonight, so good. Local restaurant right on the beach. Order appies and drinks and walked down to the water (restaurant sits right on the beach)

Yummy:
Basket of homemade breads, rolls and crackers with a butter roasted garlic spread
Coconut macadamia crusted grouper nuggets with a papaya lime rum sauce
Crab ceviche topped steamed mussels
Palm of hearts salad in martini glasses
Blackened shrimp with a watermelon salsa

We also had a couple of bottle of wine, blankets and pillows. Sat right on the sand by the water. How can than not be perfect. Delish!!

Now that is better than any 5 star restaurant any day. Flip flops, shorts, warm, sand, sunshine, dolphins and just perfect. That to me is dining!

Morning,

Well there was no rain yesterday. I am sure it rained somewhere? The newspaper says that showers & thunderstorms are expected today????? This would be the storm that has followed Dd to the east coast.

Church your evening by the water sounds lovely.

Felix, you have ran away, my goodness. At least you are making good use of your niece's Dh, lol.

Todays dinner??? I have no idea. I will sit here till someone hopefully feeds me.

Morning Nin and All!

Felix, enjoy your time as an escapee!
Nin, sorry no rain. We, well Sarasota is bone dry. A small wave is moving over us this weekend, so hopefully some rain this weekend. I would mind a rainy cloudy weekend. The lawn and plants certainly need it.

Today ... quite a few things to do. I sold 2 large pieces of furniture that have been in my garage, so right now, I'm just waiting on the people to pick them up.

Ladies #1 and #2: Game/Card Night
They changed their mind and decided to attend a function in their community this afternoon.
But, they love soup for their weekends, so I decided to make a double batch of chicken lentil and sweet potato soup for them to have on hand; as well as a couple of loafs of bread. I'll drop that off around noon. They can enjoy that this weekend.

Me:
Wide open.
- A friend said he is going to stop by today to go over plans for his Dad's 80th b'day party in a couple of weeks - I'm cooking. If he is early, he said he would bring lunch; but he doesn't know, depends on work.
- My friends are doing their standard Fri Happy Hour, but I don't really want to go.
- Then, I really feel like going out - by myself for sushi, just me, it's relaxing.
- Or, I could always just make breakfast, watch the Olympics, and catch up.
... there is always something to catch up on. And I would really enjoy working on my stained glass which I haven't done in a while.

So, dinner will be what it will be.

Ate leftovers for dinner last night. Still hoping to grill some burgers tonight. DD went to sleep over at a friend's last night, so we didn't feel like bothering with a full meal.
