Also a version of prosperity eats.... :D Gonna grill or oven roast a small pork sirloin roast that I have soaking in a salt, brown sugar, pepper, and garlic brine. Sides of kale cooked with bacon topped with black-eyed peas, mashed potatoes and gravy.

Yum Twinie!

Morning everyone! Yes, it is only 4:30

After getting up very early yesterday - started my spring cleaning and worked my a** off. Then cooked my mini Turkey Day Dinner with a friend, then my son stopped by, and finally sat down and finished off the bottle of wine and fell asleep at 10pm. Way, way too early for me. So 3:30 I was wide awake!

The Holidays are Over - Thank God! Back to reality.

TODAY

Lady #1: Family in town; all grilled dinner
Salmon poached on the grill in a lemon wine broth served with a lemon aioli
Shrimp and scallop kabobs with a citrus butter
Potato planks w/pesto
Vegetable stuffed zucchini halves
Cheese stuffed onions

Me: Leftovers from yesterday (I don't mind the same dinner 2 nights in a row)

Morning Church, 3.30am now that is early!

A lazy day was had here yesterday. Nothing open not even a newspaper available. Plus it rained all day then snowed last night.

I will be making a egg pie for brunch as I have some leftover sausage from last night. Have to go grocery shopping but still will make something simple for dinner. I am thinking toasted salmon salad sandwiches with pickles on the side.

Also today is the day that all inside & outside Christmas decorations come down.

Same with Christmas. I took some down this am, inside stuff. The lights come down from outside today, but a little rain is coming. After that. Then the tree probably this weekend. I'm still enjoying it. But mine is a smaller tree, so it doesn't take long.

I'm on a roll with my Spring Cleaning

Glad you had a relaxing day yesterday.

I always hate taking down the outside lights as they make the house look so nice with the snow. The house looks so boring after the lights being up for a month.

I also put up a small tree this year & that will be easy to take down. I have all my paintings to put back up. I hang Christmas paintings that I have accumulated at sale prices over the years. These I wrap & store in the attic till next year. Also my exterior door hangings change today to snowflakes. This does fit the theme for the long winter.

I change my door hangings too. I put on my spring wreath, but with a FREEZE warning tomorrow night, I may put my snowman back on.

Unable to take the exterior lights down as they are frozen in place. All electrical connections are dismantled.
Exterior doors now have a Winter wonderland hangings.
