Morning,

A very cold, snowy, windy day. Went to bed last night & it was 39.7. This morning 23.9 & has continued to drop since I woke up.

Dh said he will be home around noon. I wonder with the weather conditions? I am making asian chicken wings. We were going out for dinner but I can't see that a happening with the poor road conditions.

Racrgal, it is always nice to get a project completed. I am a procrastinator at times but once I get started it usually moves along quicker then I thought.

Congrats Rac and project completion. I know how that feels. I'm working on my NY's Resolution list. I'm close to finishing another project which will be very nice.

Nin, Nothing good on SyFy last night here, but I have seen that with the root going under ground popping up and destroying everything. The garden of eden roots. Actually, it was pretty cool. This Sat is Planet destruction and tornado destruction movies. I will record for another time.

Chilly today 64. The high was actually midnight and falling all day.

Salad was good last night, the poor boys had frozen pizza.
I took pics but left my camera at work (if it worked), I hope one of the guys finds it and drops it off for me.

Today:
Lady #1 and #2: Card Night - They pick this nigh: subs; salads and chips
- Chicken Caesar Sub. Chicken in a garlic type of marinate, breaded in garlic croutons and pan sauteed; topped with romaine and a creamy caesar dressing
- Meatball sub with mozz
- Traditional Italian sub
- Very simple potato salad and a macaroni salad
- Chips and pickles

Me: Out for happy hour. One local place has mini pizzas for 2.50 and 1.50 beers. They also has this amazing bread stick basket. 5 breadsticks stuffed with pesto and cheese served with a warm marinara. It is so good. They also have deals on calamari and steamed mussels too for a great price. $10 and you can be stuffed.

Morning Church,

I have plugged in "Seeds Of Destruction". It only received 1 star but the reviewer has to be able to appreciate such a topic. Here the channel is called "Space" not as good as your "SyFy" station. Love to watch it when I am in the USA.

Happy Hour is something that just does not happen here. I think warm weather is required to pull it off, lol.

The roads are treacherous here many main hwys closed. Dh coming up from Ohio & crossing at Windsor is also even worse. I will worry till he is home.

Yeah, I enjoyed the movie. I love that stuff. Happy Hour won't be outside today on the deck, but inside. But they offer some nice specials. I don't go out to too many happy hours, but now and then, it is fun. This is a very low key simple place, so it isn't too crowded; and it isn't a chain so the food tends to be much better. They usually have a few big TV's on; mostly the bar and a few tables - separate from the restaurant, so it is nice. Their outdoor deck is really nice, all screened in, candles, nice atmosphere; they even have some outdoor heaters; but it still may be a bit chilly.

I'm sure DH will be fine, but I remember the bad weather up there. MI and Northern MI. I used to drive back and forth from our 2nd home in N MI to Dearborn/Detroit every weekend. Weather can get pretty nasty. But, he will be fine - before you know it, he will be home. Stay home and stay safe tonight.

All restaurants have happy hour here. It's the South, it's what we do  Okay, fine. So maybe it is to lure in the tourists, but us locals take advantage as well. Most of the restaurants have outdoor seating, so it is nice. We ended up not going out since DH was late.

Dinner tonight? Ugh, I don't know. I'm thinking either grilled mesquite chicken and a salad, buffalo chicken salad or some type of chicken soup since our highs will only be in the 50s today.

Thanks Ninner & KC. I have been working on a license application for a new corporation and it has been an absolute nightmare. Took months to just to compile the information. The application package is now over 50 pages long AND there is a "sister" application that had to be done online which is around 15 pages long. It's out of my hair now and in the hands of the state. :)

I'll be digging around in the freezer to figure out what's for dinner. I'm thinking grilled pork chops if the temps are warm enough. We really haven't had winter here this year. Fine with me. :D

We went with Subway last night since I went to bed at 5:30pm and hubby doesn't enter the kitchen except to clean it. He woke me up to eat about 7:30 and I was down for the count until 5:30 this morning. Today isn't much better. What the heck?!? This is the 2nd time in 3 weeks that I've come down with something. Got my flu shot (a necessity in my house as my kid has asthma), I eat well, and exercise daily. Grrrr.

Tonight may be hot dogs if I don't feel any better LOL. Dad and kid have baseball training from 6-8 so they leave at 5:15 and need to down something before they get out of the house.

I changed my mind again  It's just too chilly for salad and chicken, so I'm going to go with Hamburger Vegetable Soup, garlic bread and glass of Cab.
