Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - MAY - JULY 2015
I'm playing "cheaters" all the way 'round tonight. I really want to put a few meals in the freezer. So, tonight, two "blue boxes" of mac 'n cheese, plus extra cheese and evaporated mild, 1 lb. ground sirloin, and a can of diced tomatoes. That'll be the main meal along with "cheaters" cole slaw.....1...

Re: Tasty Lamb Chops
Gosh, Bea, that fourth pic has me salivating!!! However, I checked out the lamb at the market today, and at $18/lb(US), I wouldn't have touched them. Even the shanks, which I used to be(apparently) the only person in the US that bought them, as they were kinda considered "trash meat" were $12/lb(US)...

Re: "Mild" rant about picking eating husband!!
Being a male, I think this is all a matter of perspective. As for me, I'll eat anything and everything! If you are cooking for others, then their particular likes and dislikes are gonna be glaring issues for you. I personally have met as many "picky" eaters from both sexes. But, of course, this is a...

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - MARCH 2015
I just popped a basic meatloaf in the oven. I'll bake a large potato and eat half. Some sautéed mushrooms and fresh spinach to round out the meal. Mostly, I'm looking forward to meatloaf sandwiches for the coming week ;)

Re: What's Up Today
Finally, I made it into town today. All the snow went away by yesterday, and that was a lot of snow to melt!! We've had a couple of days with temps in the mid-50s.....much warmer in town!!! Well, this late in the winter season, with the sun rising higher in the sky and it doesn't take much time to s...

Re: WHAT'S FOR DINNER - MARCH 2015
I love a good chili dog from time to time. With the mushrooms, it sounds like a wonderful weekend meal!!! One just cannot go wrong with Swill steak either. What a wonderful comfort meal, lovin!! I had leftover rice to which I added some carmelized(lightly pan charred) halved Brussels sprouts and cho...

Re: Lazy Man's BBQ Baked Beans
I do love baked beans, Shapes. All three of your pics are big time appetizing!!! Would that be mac 'n cheese to the side? I'd take that on as a meal anytime

Re: What's Up Today
We made it through in good shape. We only got another 6 inches of snow in last night's storm.....bringing our total on the ground this a.m. of 13 inches. It's not just the snow that is such a big issue here, as we see heavy snows most every winter. It's the steep mountainous terrain and the trees an...
