What WAS on Your Plate & WHAT'S for Dinner 1/14/17-1/13/15
WHAT'S COOKIN' EVERYONE?
Any Fun Weekend Parties, Treats, or Cooking Marathons Going On?
Pretty quiet here. Warm but cloudy. Nothing too special for me. I am planning to make a few loafs of bread in the ABM; and a couple loaf of beer bread. A few for me, a couple for a friend who has helped me with my INJURED arm.
Also, made Breakfast burritos I didn't get to yesterday with my leftover chili. I added rice to the chili along with tomatillo salsa and cheese.
I made 2 by adding 2 scrambled eggs each. Then, added just the beans and rice to the other. Wrapped them all up; and, in the freezer.
Dinner ...
Meatballs w/mushrooms, onions, and gravy; roasted potatoes; peas/lima beans, or a salad.
(yes, frozen meatballs, you know how hard it is to make meatballs with a bad arm, lol)

Can I come? I love both so much. You may need to add some onions and butter to that, lol!

Budget, Pierogies are the best aren't they!!! I'm now craving them. There is a local Polish deli about 10 min away. They make them fresh. I just may have to get some!!
A good roast sounds good. So glad, someone else love turnips ... I really like them.

HAPPY SUNDAY EVERYONE!
Be Safe For All Those In The Midwest/North Ice Storm.
Quiet here; but, a busy cooking day ... Usually Sunday is just me; but, today is an exception.
I'm able to use my arm a bit more ... but, still not much cooking; luckily I have a friend that can help out with that.
Lunch - Lady #3+2: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/creamy ... -soup-8073 turkey reuben (classic rye, thousand, turkey, kraut - often called a rachel if using slaw); marinated mixed heirloom tomato salad
(soup is on the stove; the rest I will make at their house)
Ladies #1+5: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/three- ... fish-24796 w/cod over steamed bok choy; sauteed carrots, snow peas, red pepper, zucchini w/shallots, olive/sesame oil and red pepper flakes; spicy grilled chilled shrimp to start; guest is bringing dessert
(marinade and shrimp done; everything else is ready to cook there)
Me: Made the soup last night; just add the noodles and reheat - classic chicken noodle soup; homemade bread is rising. In the oven later.

Last night, it was beef roast, garden salad, and couscous with sauted onions, oregano and craisins.
Tonight I made lemon-pecan pancakes and bacon.
