Step 1: Preheat oven to 375F.
Step 2: Cut off just enough of the top of the garlic bulb so that you can see the tips of each clove.
Step 3: Place on a piece of foil and drizzle with oil.
Step 4: Tent the foil up around it and toss in the oven.
Step 5: Go back to the top you cut off and rescue any pieces of garlic worth saving for other uses.
Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes, then cool.
Step 7: Pick off excess skins and squeeze the roasted cloves out with your fingers into a small bowl.
