Step 1: Toast the almonds in a small nonstick pan with 1/4 cup sugar until the sugar dissolves and coats the almonds. Let cool.
Step 2: Combine the chicken, rice, celery, grapes, pineapple, oranges and almonds together in a large bowl.
Step 3: In a small bowl mix the salad dressing ingredients together.
Step 4: Mix the salad dressing with the salad and toss well.
Step 5: Add salt to taste.
Step 6: Chill or serve immediately.
