The ingredients are:
  • 6 medium potatoes (medium potatoes, sliced 1/8-inch-thick, about 2 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • Salt and fresh pepper to taste
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup 18% cream
  • 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (or more)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or less)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 425°F. Spray an 11 x 7-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, combine potatoes, butter, salt, garlic powder and fresh cracked pepper.

  • Step 3: Arrange half of the potato slices in the baking dish; top with 1/2 cup cheese. Add the remaining potatoes.

  • Step 4: In a small saucepan, bring cream thyme, Parmesan cheese and bay leaf to a boil; pour over potatoes.

  • Step 5: Top with remaining 1/2 cheese.

  • Step 6: Bake uncovered, for 45 - 50 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
