Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Pinch red pepper flakes
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 (14 ounce) can spinach, drained
  • 3 tablespoons cooked bacon, crumbled
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat a heavy bottomed saucepan and drizzle with a bit of vegetable oil.

  • Step 2: Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook for a minute, until garlic is soft.

  • Step 3: Add butter and allow melting.

  • Step 4: Whisk in flour and keep whisking until flour is fully cooked and no longer white.

  • Step 5: Add milk and whisk until thickened.

  • Step 6: Lower heat and add parmesan cheese; mix well.

  • Step 7: Add sour cream, spinach and bacon; cook until warmed through.

  • Step 8: Season to taste and serve over your favourite hot cooked pasta noodles.
