The ingredients are:
  • 1 can (15 ounce) garbanzo beans (no-salt-added garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained)
  • 1/2 whole red apple (cored and finely chopped)
  • 1 small celery rib, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons dill relish
  • 3 tablespoons red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon kelp granules (organic, or 1/4 teaspoon sea salt)
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pulse the garbanzo beans in the bowl of a food processor until coarsely chopped; transfer to a medium bowl.

  • Step 2: Add apple, celery, pecans, relish, red onion, dill, lemon juice and kelp granules. Stir until well combined.

  • Step 3: Season with pepper.

  • Step 4: Chill until ready to serve.
