Step 1: Preheat grill to medium heat.
Step 2: Use non-stick aluminum dull side toward the fish. Place salmon filet on foil with skin side down.
Step 3: Add butter to top of fish, and then drizzle salad dressing on top of salmon filet.
Step 4: Fold foil sides up forming a tent type packet with a small vent at the top.
Step 5: Place packet on grill right side up and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or to desired temperature. (My MIL likes it rare where I prefer it medium rare).
Step 6: When it is done, remove from packet and sprinkle chives on top of it. Serve and enjoy!
