  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • FOR THE SAUCE
  • 1 1/4 cups apple juice
  • 1/2 cup apple butter
  • 1/4 cup dried apple, chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  • Step 2: Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or oven-proof casserole.

  • Step 3: Spread the bread cubes in the bottom of the baking dish.

  • Step 4: In a medium mixing bowl, beat together eggs, milk, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla.

  • Step 5: Pour mixture over bread.

  • Step 9: Simmer 5-10 minutes or until warm and well blended.
