Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • FOR THE BROWNIES
  • 1 bag (12 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • FOR COOKIE DOUGH LAYER
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1/2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt, 1 pinch
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degree. Grease 9x13 baking pan, set aside.

  • Step 2: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate chips. Stir constantly and remove from heat when chips are fully melted.

  • Step 3: Blend in sugar.

  • Step 4: Let cool slightly or temper eggs with some of the chocolate mixture. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.

  • Step 5: Add flour and salt and mix until air bubbles from in the batter.

  • Step 6: Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 20 minutes. TURN DOWN oven to 325 degrees and bake another 10 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely.

  • Step 7: For Cookie Dough Layer: Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in milk and vanilla. Gradually add flour and salt. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls over cooled brownies; carefully spread over top. It's sticky, but it helps to wet the spatula (or your fingers!) with water and gently pat dough down.

  • Step 8: Store in refrigerator.
