How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix beef with Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, mustard, steak seasoning and salt and pepper to your taste until well mixed.

  • Step 2: Divide meat mixture into four parts and round into a ball.

  • Step 3: Place a ball on a square of parchment or waxed paper and top with another sheet, then press down with the bottom of something large and flat until your patty is as flattened and big around as you like it. Repeat with the three other meatballs.

  • Step 4: Place 1 ounce cheese in the center of a patty and top with another, crimping edges firmly together. Repeat with other burger.

  • Step 5: Cook onion in oil or bacon drippings until soft; add burger patties to pan and cook over low heat until temp reaches 160F inside, or until cooked to your liking.

  • Step 6: Serve on buttered toasted split kaiser rolls with choice of horseradish mayo, horseradish mustard, creamed horseradish, and grilled onions and crisp bacon, and any other toppings you like.
