Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound Italian sausage (links, casings removed)
  • 10 ounces baby spinach (washed and spin dried)
  • 4 slices (4 ounces) provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/4 cup pesto (sun-dried tomato pesto sauce)
  • 4 Italian (6 to 7 ounces) bread rolls (or ciabatta rolls)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Form the sausage meat into 4 patties, press a thumb print depression in the center of each burger

  • Step 2: Lightly spray a large skillet with oil

  • Step 3: Fry the patties over high heat for 1 minute

  • Step 4: Flip the burgers and turn heat to medium, cover the pan

  • Step 5: Flip the burgers a couple of times to brown them evenly total cook time apprx 10 minutes Internal temperature should be 160f

  • Step 6: Add spinach to the skillet, cover and let the spinach wilt - 2 minutes

  • Step 7: Spread your buns with the pesto sauce add cheese, spinach and burger If you wish you may add tomatoe slices, lettuce whatevery you fancy. Enjoy
