Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup butter (softened (if using margarine, use the stick type for the best results )
  • 1 cup brown sugar (light or dark your choice )
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (white)
  • 1 large egg (slightly beaten)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (can use imitation )
  • 6 ounces chocolate chips (white chocolate, 1 cup)
  • 2 to 3 ounces almonds (crushed, 1/2 to 3/4 cup, crushed)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a medium size bowl mix together flour,cornstarch, and baking soda, set aside.

  • Step 3: In a large bowl, mix together butter and sugars until creamy.

  • Step 4: Add egg and vanilla, blending well.

  • Step 5: Add flour mixture a little at a until well blended ( batter will be slightly thick ).

  • Step 6: Then add chips and almonds, mixing well.

  • Step 7: Drop by Tablespoons onto a greased cookie sheet, and bake for 8 to 12 minutes( depending on your oven) until golden brown around the edges.

  • Step 8: Let cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes, then remove and let finish cooling on wire cooling rack.
