Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed (I use splenda brown sugar mix)
  • 1 (8 ounce) can pineapple chunks (1 can or crushed pineapple)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Juice from the canned pineapple chunks
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce (I use light soy sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon green bell pepper, finely chopped

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine cornstarch, sugar and juice from pineapple chunks, (if using crushed pineapple add it all at once), in a medium saucepan; stir in water, vinegar and soy sauce, cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened, about 5 minutes. Add pineapple chunks and green pepper, heat through, about 5 minutes and use as desired.
