Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork steak (sliced thinly, fat removed)
  • 1 celery stalk, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 5 to 6 sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 teaspoon Asian spice mix (I use my homemade mix)
  • 1 teaspoon prepared minced ginger
  • 1 teaspoon dark sesame seed oil
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • Good sprinkle salt
  • Pinch hot pepper flakes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sprinkle salt, hot pepper flakes and Asian seasoning over the pork.

  • Step 2: Drizzle the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet; bring to medium-high heat. (I use mark 8 on my stove-top)

  • Step 3: Toss in the pork, carrots and celery; cook for 5 to 7 minutes minutes, until pork is no longer pink on the outside.

  • Step 4: Add the bell pepper, onion and garlic and cook for another 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Add the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.

  • Step 6: Mix together the oyster sauce, minced ginger and sesame oil; stir into the stir-fry.

  • Step 7: Mix together the water and cornstarch and pour over the stir fry.

  • Step 8: Stir until thickened and serve over noodles or rice.
