Step 1: In a small saucepan, combine the first 10 ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
Step 2: Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and Liquid Smoke; simmer 10 minutes. remove the lemon slice and discard.
Step 3: Season the pork chops lightly with salt and pepper.
Step 4: In a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil in batches. Transfer to a 13x9 inch baking dish coated with cooking spray. Pour sauce over chops.
Step 5: Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until chops are tender.
