Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 cans (5 ounces each) chicken, shredded (drained)
  • 1 can (15.25 ounce) black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can (15.5 ounce) pinto beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can (15.5 ounce) red beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can (15.5 ounce) kidney beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 can (15.25 ounce) whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 1 jar (28 ounce) spaghetti sauce (I used garlic and onion)
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can (6 ounce) tomato juice
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot red pepper sauce (I used Tabasco)
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun spice mix (if using Cajun Seasoning, use 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine all ingredients in a large pot or Dutch oven; mix well.

  • Step 2: Cover, and heat on medium-high until starting to bubble, stirring occasionally.

  • Step 3: Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
