Step 1: Place the butter in a 1 1/2 inch deep glass baking dish and melt in the microwave. This will take approximately 20 seconds.
Step 2: Add the eggs, the salt and pepper and the milk. Whisk to blend well.
Step 3: Microwave for 1 1/2 minutes and lightly mix with a fork. Repeat once more.
Step 4: Sprinkle the cheese evenly over eggs and cook until cheese is melted and eggs are set to your liking.
Step 5: Remove from microwave and lightly mix with fork. Serve at once, garnished with the green onions or scallions.
