Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 poundsground beef
  • 1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 sour cream
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
  • 1 (9 1/2 ounce) can refrigerator buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) can French-fried onions
  • Topping Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup sour sream
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. celery seed

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  • Step 2: Brown beef and drain well.

  • Step 3: Mix beef, mushrooms, and 1/2 of the onions.

  • Step 4: Toss together and place in a greased 2 1/2 quart casserole.

  • Step 5: Bring undiluted soup to a boil and stir in 1/2 cup sour cream

  • Step 6: Pour over meat.

  • Step 7: Separate dough into 10 biscuits.

  • Step 8: Cut each one in half, making 20 pieces.

  • Step 9: Arrange biscuits on top of soup around edges of casserole, (1 inch from sides) cut side down.

  • Step 10: Sprinkle with remaining onions in center

  • Step 11: Mix topping ingredients and Pour over biscuits.

  • Step 12: Bake at 375 for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
