Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg, beaten well
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup cream (I'm guessing heavy cream)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon alt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup walnuts, ground
  • 1/4 cup cold butter, cut into snall cubes

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream together 1 cup of sugar with 5 Tbsp of butter. Beat egg and add to above. Combine milk, cream and vanilla; add in creamed mixture beat well. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder. Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and beat well.

  • Step 2: Pour mixture into a 9x13 inch shallow pan, about 1-inch deep. Sprinkle top with 1/3 cup of sugar, then sprinkle top with cinnamon and ground walnuts. Finally dot top with 1/4 cup butter. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes until it is done.
