  • The following recipe serves 8 people.

Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1 can (14 1/2 ounce) diced tomatoes (14 1/2 can diced tomatoes seasoned w/basil, oregano & garlic)
  • 3 medium carrots, peeled and sliced ( I used 6 ounces baby carrots cut into bite size pieces)
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped (I used 2 teaspoons dried celery flakes and 1 teaspoon powdered celery seeds)
  • 4 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper ( I just added to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 cup green string beans (fresh or frozen green beans, I used frozen peas )

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a dutch oven,brown beef and drain, return beef to pan.

  • Step 2: Add the next 10 ingredients and bring to a boil.

  • Step 3: Reduce heat,cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes & carrots are fork tender.

  • Step 4: Add the beans ( or peas ). Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or longer until the beans(peas) are tender.
